Universal Martial Arts Association was founded in 1972 by Grandmaster Whan Ki Choi who holds a 9th Dan Black Belt in both Taekwondo and Hapkido. Universal Martial Arts is affiliated with the World Tae Kwon Do Federation and the Korean Hapkido Association. The overall goals of this organization is to provide professional and comprehensive instruction in these combined martial arts which are proven both effective and dynamic in methods of self-defense. Styles taught at this association remain distinct under Grandmaster Choi's professional and disciplined guidance. Both beginners and advanced students gain a unique understanding of self-defense, as well as the proper discipline of mind and body in these very popular Korean martial arts.
